In the initial phase of the enhancement, the project involved expanding an extra lane in both directions from McKimmies Road to Bush Boulevard, improving five intersections, such as Childs Road and Centenary Drive. Traffic signals were implemented at Rivergum and Mayfields Drives, widening of the existing footpath was carried out, and a fresh combined walking and cycling path was built.
On-road cycling lanes were established, and a total of 10,000 meters of safety barriers were put in place. GWB provided all surveys throughout the project.
